As members of the French Bulldog Awareness Group of WA http://www.frenchbulldogswa.com.au https://www.facebook.com/PerthFrenchBulldogAwarenessGroupofWA
We were invited to submit 2 photos of our Frenchie for consideration in their 2022 calendar. They gave us a range of themes we could use, I chose Christmas and Easter for Whisky, and to our surprise and pride he was selected for the Easter Photo and is now "Mr April".
As part of our puppy pack from Galerie French Bulldogs
we were gifted our initial membership and a prepaid 2022 calendar, but we have ended up ordering extra for our family to enjoy our little Calendar Boy.
I have had dogs since I was 11 years old, mostly rescues and spaniels (Springers and Cockers) but Whisky is the first Frenchie I have ever had and both his breeder and the FBAGWA have been invaluable in helping me to understand this unique breed and the special care he requires. It's been a learning curve and he has brought so much love and joy into our lives, including his Big Bro Cebar who now has a new lease on life. Whisky makes us laugh every single day with his cheeky, comical nature and certainly keeps us on our toes.
We started showing him and although it's very early days, he did so well at the Perth Royal Show we are hopeful of attaining an Australian Champion Title for him one day.
As 2021 comes to and end and we are about to start a new year in 2022, we feel so grateful for Cebar's recovery and continued health from his Pancreatitis, and for the addition of Whisky to our Fur Family over the past 8 months.
I would like to personally say "Thank you so much" to Caroline Roberts, Lynne Hudson, Sandra Winter, Sue Millar and Caroline Owens who have all been so kind, so supportive and given us so much help and valuable advice - you ladies are Frenchie Guardian Angels!!!!
